Beth Israel Deaconess Cancer Care Waltham
Beth Israel Deaconess Cancer Care at Waltham is a fully licensed BIDMC facility that offers a sophisticated level of radiation therapy services. Equipment includes a state-of-the-art Varian 21 EX linear accelerator that facilitates the delivery of 3-D conformal radiation therapy and IMRT. Radiation therapy treatment planning is performed at BIDMC and then implemented at the Waltham facility, truly allowing university quality care in the community. Radiation oncologists are members of the department of radiation oncology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and full-time faculty members at Harvard Medical School. The center offers full access to clinical trials including ECOG, RTOG and DFCI/HCC protocols.
The cancer care facility is also home to the Mary Eagan Garden, a healing garden that provides patients a serene, comfortable place to spend time alone or with family and friends. Patients and their families can also take advantage of easy parking that enables them to avoid lengthy commutes into Boston for treatment
